In October of this year, Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia will debut their love-child.  There is no word on what the shoe will look like yet, but it will be everywhere!  It will retail for $575-$775 USD in department stores, Ugg stores, Jimmy Choo stores and online as well.  This collaboration has everyone wondering if the shoe will be a furry ankle boot with a stiletto heel and the general consensus is less than enthusiastic for these.  Those over at Jimmy Choo say "If you can't beat them, join them!"  We'll just have to wait and see.

Hollywood's rising star, Zoe Saldana is now the newest face for Avon's "Eternal Magic" fragrance.  The scent was takes inspiration from the rare Princess Monaco Rose flower, according to People magazine and will be available in April.  The 31-year-old actress will also be featured in the Avon magazine as one of the faces for the company's color collection.  Zoe says, "It means so much to me to be associated with a company that shares my values and believes in empowering women."  Senior Vice President and President of Avon North America, Geralyn Breig also added, "We are thrilled to have Zoe as the spokesperson for Eternal Magic.  Every woman wants to be unforgettable and Zoe perfectly embodies that feeling.  She's a rising star in Hollywood - and has built a strong reputation for playing empowering characters that leave a lasting impression."

Rihanna is on her grind.  The February '10 issue of W Magazine puts the style icon on its cover and also does an in-depth interview with the artist.  Rihanna goes into detail during the interview, revealing a lot about the making of her latest album Rated R.  (Album in stores now.) The black and white cover spread highlights hats & gloves and Rihanna's most recent tat!  Photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Lori Goldstein,  she's definitely bringing high-fashion all the way, despite her lack of clothing --- what she is wearing is worth looking at.

Amber Valletta is more than fierce at the premiere of The Spy Next Door in a sharp-shouldered, orange minidress RM by Roland Mouret.  The dress comes from the designer's Rainbow Collection; while Amber pairs the "Ostadar" dress with a Hervé Léger by Max Azria gem clutch, Anita Ko jewelry and Aldo's "Fawson" pumps in taupe.  The "Ostadar' retails for $1,740 USD but the stretch silk gazar dress is a gorgeous choice for any event.

For all my fashionistas across the water, disappointing news has just surfaced.  Supermodel, Naomi Campbell who was supposed to be a judge on the new series, Britain's Next Top Model, will no longer be on the reality show.  While nothing was ever set in stone, it's speculated that Campbell pulled out because she could not reach an agreement about how much time she would have to invest into the show.  A "source" for the show said, "Naomi was really excited, but pulled out because she couldn't reach an agreement over logistics or the amount of time she would have to commit."  Looks like the supermodel's reality tv career is over before it started.

The Return of the '90s Nike

Nike's Air Structure Triax '91 is being re-released this year in some wild and crazy color ways.  The sneakers which will retail for $108 USD will feature a suede, mesh, patent leather and leather upper, and a very well-received silhouette.  This pair has hints of an infared orange and hints of hot pink from the tongue to the outer sole.  Yet with all the new detailing, the comfort of this running shoe remains the same it's been since '91. Go Nike !

Fashion Week feat. Lady Gaga

NYC Fashion Week will once again feature one of Hollywood's top stylistas, Lady Gaga!  Last season she performed at the Marc Jacobs and Visionaire party; and this February 10th, she will be performing at the annual armFAR New York gala fundraiser at Cipriani 42nd Street.  A  slew of fashionistas and celebrities will be in attendance including Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, and many others.  The event is in honor of Sir Elton John, David Furnish and Louis Vuitton's chairman and chief executive officer, Yves Carcelle.
