This season, there was much buzz surrounding Versace's S/S 2010 Shoe Collection. In October of this year, Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia will debut their love-child. There is no word on what the shoe will look like yet, but it will be everywhere! For all my fashionistas across the water, disappointing news has just surfaced. Supermodel, Naomi Campbell who was supposed to be a judge on the new series, Britain's Next Top Model, will no longer be on the reality show. While nothing was ever set in stone, it's speculated that Campbell pulled out because she could not reach an agreement about how much time she would have to invest into the show. A "source" for the show said, "Naomi was really excited, but pulled out because she couldn't reach an agreement over logistics or the amount of time she would have to commit." Looks like the supermodel's reality tv career is over before it started.

On the streets of NYC, there have been several sightings of UGG boots - on men! UGG Australia offers many different style choices for men, but the stand out boot is definitely the Butte. ViBE Magazine has had its hand in the entertainment industry for the past 16 years, but this Tuesday unfortunately that Wall St. office said goodbye to a magazine that was for many years, the fore-front of hip hop. Vibe opened many doors for many people and through the 90s and the new millennium introduced the world to numerous musical acts and talented artists. Behind the scenes, Vibe had many talented people working to make the magazine what it was. I was lucky enough to be one of its last interns this spring and made sooo many new friends and met soo many people that I learned from and value their relationships. I was given a chance not many people can say they had and unfortunately, many will never have again. Although we must say farewell, I am celebrating Vibe and its many acheivements through the years.

So in 2009, we have elected President Barack Obama - first black president, whom we all know and love and are the majority of the country is extremely greatful for -- andddd all that GREAT stuff! But for the past couple of years in the fashion world, there have been many discussions about the nonexistant black faces in the industry and on the runways. As an avid reader of fashion magazines, I know that we do not dominate the campaign ads or the editorial pages, but this new flock of faces seem to be changing what may have been a lost cause. Steven Miesel's 100 page spread in the July 2008 Vogue Italia could have been the leader for this new wave in fashion. Massimo Gammacurta created a few label lollis a couple of months ago, converting Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton logos into tasty candies-- ready to be licked with a platinum tongue.
